The Yass Valley Destination Action Plan 2020-2025 is an important part of the Tablelands Destination Development Project.
Priorities focus on strengthening Council’s destination management arrangements to drive a
strategic approach to the growth and development of the Yass Valley visitor economy, by:
- supporting events that generate awareness of the Yass Valley and provide opportunities for visitors and residents to celebrate and experience country life and regional wine and food; ensuring tourism is considered as an important part of Council strategic land use,
- community and infrastructure planning;
- adopting a proactive approach to attract and support private sector investment;
- advocating the benefits of growing the visitor economy to Council, industry and the community; and
- aligning Yass Valley marketing activities to recommendations of the Tablelands Destination Development Plan.
