Where can businesses affected by the bushfires access grants and loans?

Disaster Recovery Grants

Grants up to $15,000 are available for businesses directly affected by the bushfires. Applications for the grant can be made to the Rural Assistance Authority by visiting the website or calling 1800 678 593.

Disaster Relief Loans

Low interest loans up to $130,000 are available for small businesses directly affected by the bushfires. Applications for the loans can be made to the Rural Assistance Authority by visiting the website or calling 1800 678 593.

Indigenous Australians Bushfire Emergency Response Grant

A grant up to $20,000 is available for any Indigenous corporation whose property has been directly affected by the bushfires. Established by the Indigenous Land and Sea Corporation (ILSC), the grant will help businesses secure and clean up damaged properties.

The grant will also be available for Indigenous land management groups and contacts assisting recovery efforts with much-needed equipment.

Indigenous Business Australia Bushfire Crisis Fund

Indigenous Business Australia have established a Bushfire Crisis Fund for its business finance and home loan customers that have directly been impacted by the bushfires through the loss of property or compulsory evacuation.

The fund will help support the temporary suspension of loan repayments, access to a $2,000 bushfire crisis grant, assistance with making insurance claims and further assistance for business customers to be assessed on an individual basis.
