We created a series of Development Pathways to make the process of developing your tourism business as simple as possible. We recognise that the amount of information available today can be overwhelming, so we have curated the following checklists and resources to give you exactly what you need, when you need it.  

Industry Development Managers (IDMs) 

Destination Southern NSW employs two IDMs to assist you with your business development journey. You can review this content on your own, but we recommend you engage with your Industry Development Manager early in the process. They are tourism experts who can help you make rapid progress through this content, and tailor your journey to meet your needs.

How to use the Development Pathways 

Begin with the ‘Start Here’ Development Pathway. It is your ‘Tourism 101’ checklist. Once you’ve completed the ‘Start Here’ Development Pathway, you will have all the basics in place to operate a successful business. You can then dive into the additional Development Pathways, selecting those that align with your target markets and experience offering. The ‘Start Here’ Development Pathway covers the essentials, the other pathways are optional, you can complete one or all of them.
