ATEC Aligns with WTTC as Part of #TravelSafeAustralia

September 21, 2020

The Australian Tourism Export Council (ATEC) has aligned with the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC) in becoming a lead agency with authority to issue Australian tourism businesses with the globally recognised ‘Safe Travel’ stamp.

This stamp was developed by the WTTC to recognise and reward businesses which have adopted standardised health and hygeine protocols. The ‘Safe Travel’ stamp and branding has now been incorporated into ATEC’s COVID Ready program.

More details about what this alignment means for tourism businesses can be found in the media release, along with a statement from ATEC Managing Director Peter Shelley.
