DESCRIPTION:Ground Swell is a Take 3 for the Sea Program was created to inform and empower the NSW tourism industry to collaborate to reduce litter impacts in our beautiful holiday locations and to work towards and maintain litter-free destinations. The free Program provides practical tried-and-true strategies and solutions for both operators and their local communities in high traffic tourism destinations dependent on vulnerable nature-based resources. \nJoin us online.  In approximately one hour\, Take 3’s Ground Swell tourism team will introduce the identifiable underlying causes of littering\, provide recommended solutions and coach participants to develop a tailor-made action plan\, enabling your region and your businesses to \n\naccess a suite of tailor-made resources including the jam-packed Litter Prevention Toolkit for NSW Tourism Operators and case studies from all types of tourism businesses\nidentify\, understand and act on the 6 factors behind littering\nblend litter reduction solutions and source reduction (especially plastic) best practice into their core values\nweave litter prevention into their customer-facing narrative through positive involvement and storytelling\, informing and empowering their teams\, visitors and community at large.\nmonitor positive impacts and share successes.\ntake confident leadership within their community and reap the rewards of enduring success in maintaining a litter-free environment.\ncollaborate with like-minded operators\, share challenges and solutions.\nenter category 28 of the NSW Tourism Awards 2024\, The Take 3 Litter Prevention Category\n\nAfter the workshop\, the Take 3 team will be in touch with all participants providing a quarterly check in. \n
